How they work:

• Cut out the tattoo of choice and remove the clear sheet
• Place tattoo face down on your skin
• Wet the tattoo thoroughly with a sponge or towel
• After 30 seconds, gently remove the backing paper
• Allow tattoo to dry
• Sit back and admire the artwork on your skin
• Go to your party looking a million dollars

Up cycling ……

The day comes when your lovely tattoos arrive, it’s so exciting! You rip open the recycled packaging, in double quick time and notice they have arrived in a small plastic folder backed with cardboard. You can always use the plastic folder and cardboard to store your tattoos but if you dont, what are you going to do with the plastic and cardboard?? THROW IT AWAY I hear you yell! Well yes you absolutely could, or even put it in the recycling….. but there is another way…..you could up-cycle it and use everything for something new!

Here are a few of our ideas:

Use the cardboard as a bookmark. Use your pens or pencils to decorate it - if you want - and slip it between the pages of your favourite book.

Keep the cardboard and use it as material for your next art or craft project.

Use the card to store ribbon, wool or thread. We always keep ribbon, wool and twine that comes on presents, new clothes and all manor of things. To store the newly acquired ribbon; simply wind it around the cardboard. You might need a little bit of tape to hold it in place or ask an adult to cut a slit into the side (about 1cm deep) and the end of your ribbon can sit happily in there.

The plastic folder could be used to store stickers, sweets, or again be reused as material for your next craft project.

Upcycling your tattoos

Don’t forget, if you get fed up of your tattoos (as we all change our minds from time to time!) donate them to a family member, a friend or to your local charity shop. Don’t forget to ask an adult if it’s ok!

Or you could use them to decorate stones, craft projects or even your bedroom walls!! Again for that idea, especially don’t forget to ask an adult if it’s ok!
